It is said that you should do a hundred drawings of the same subject before thinking of knowing it. I never tried to do more than 2 or 3, never had the will or patience.
Joining the Julia Kay’s portrait party gave me the opportunity to do portrait regularly and, with out knowing it, I am at my 14th one. I might reach 100 in a few weeks if I keep the pace.

I love this – the energy of your drawing and color choices is wonderful!
I absolutely love the colors! =) Great job with the hair and the background too
Wow – fabulous! Love the colours.
Thank you Ann, Alex and Gabrielle. I favor color over form and I am so pleased to see that you all mentioned colors.
Wow!! This is great, really, really, great!! I love the combination of the pencil with the watercolor (or watercolor pencil used dry and wet?). It has so much texture and the color is fabulous! This is a winner!
Thank you Raena, it is a mix of prismacolor, watercolor pencil and pastel. I wet with my fingers after and occasionally a brush.
Wonderful use of color and composition.
thank you Donna.
You are braver than me! Nice going.
Thank you Sandra, funny I think you are very brave experimenting in many mediums.
What a wonderful moody portrait. Quel portrait de l’emotion mystere.
I just notice how the color and the drawing are so different. Le dessin serieux, les couleurs joyeux.
merci Aletha.
This is really nice. I love the colors and style of it.
Thank you Timaree.
This is what it means to be an Expressionist! Such emotion through line and color. Great job.
thank you very much Dan.
Benedicte,
You are inspiring me …. it might be a really good goal to try 100 drawings of the same subject. Like you, I usually can’t manage more than 2-3 takes on a single image.
(And I’ve edited my blog re my error … thanks SO much for letting me know. )
Donna

No problem for my name, it is so often that I am use to it. See you at the portrait party!
