Garden, flowers and monotype

 

I finally stocked a bit of my favorite paper, Arches infinity 88. Once I am done with the very boring part of cutting it to the desired size , I can enjoy the luxury of not thinking about paper! These are monotype, I paint on glass, let dry then wet the paper and transfer the image. Some are retouched with inks, gouaches or neocolor.

J’ai finalement un petit stock de mon papier préféré, Arches infinity 88. Une fois les coupes faites, travail super ennuyant, je peux gouter au luxe de ne pas avoir à penser au papier! Ces dessins sont des monotypes, je peint sur du verre, laisse sécher, mouille le papier et transfère l’image. Certains sont retouchés avec encres, gouaches ou neocolor

Below, after a few clicks in the computer different versions: black and white, flipped and reverse colour , and the final one flipped and reverse colour with a touch of yellow.

En haut l’original: aquarelle, encres, pastel soluble à l’eau Neocolor II sur carton.
En dessous, après quelques clics a l’ordinateur différentes versions: noir et blanc,  sens et  couleur  inversé, et le dernier sens et couleur inversé avec une touche de jaune.

Inspired by a line in a poem from Baudelaire “springs soaked in mud”.

I like to think that the ghost of Baudelaire came and participate in dropping my bottle of ink, adding a huge puddle of color, adding a lot of drama. Thank you Charles!

J’aime  penser que le fantome de Baudelaire est venu et a participer en faisant tomber ma bouteille d’encre, ajoutant une énorme flaque de couleur, ajoutant beaucoup d’atmosphère. Merci Charles!

Drawing these cats   give me a regular drawing time  and a fun time too. So far this one is the winner and made it to the top.

Dessiner ces chats me donnent du temps de dessin regulier et amusant. Et voici le gagnant, pour le moment, il m’a tellement plu qu’il est en haut de l’échelle.
