Krita is a free sketching and painting program and has been developed with artists in mind. I am starting to explore it, find how to use it. It is always a challenge, like with any new tool.
Krita est un programme de dessin et peinture , gratuit, et a été dévelppé pour les artistes. Je commence à l’explorer, comprendre un peu comment ça marche. C’est toujours un défi, comme avec n’importe quel nouvel outil.

It all started with a series of picture seen on Flickr by Tio Gegeca on Venezia. Some instinctively caught my eye. Why some and not the others? Why being attracted by some colours? Why redrawing the same subject?
I think it is to reproduce the visual thrill felt at first glance.
And I am not done with this! The visual thrill is not reached yet.
Tout a commencé avec une série de photos sur Venise pris par Tio Gegeca sur Flickr. Certaines ont instinctivement accroché mon oeil. Pourquoi celle-ci? Pourquoi ces couleurs? Pourquoi reprendre encore et encore le même sujet?
Je pense que c’est essayer de reproduire l’excitation du premier regard.
Et je n’ai pas fini, le but n’est pas atteint encore!
How long , what medim, digital or traditional, from life, from a picture, from imagination, trace over, free hand…? Questions I like asking too, but asking all these questions about the process makes us forget to look at the result, to let ourselves and our souls getting immerge in the image in a very primal way.
Combien de temps, quel medium, digital ou traditionnel, modèle vivant, d’une photo, imaginaire, retracé, à main libre…? Des questions que je me pose aussi, mais en posant ces questions sur le processus on oubli de regarder le résultat, on oublie d’immerger son être et son âme dans l’image d’une manière primale.

Medium is an interesting word. I use it for techniques and materials: watercolor, pencil, photoshop… When looking at the meanings, the idea of “in the middle” comes to my mind. A medium can be a person in the middle of living and dead persons, medium is the size in the middle of big and small. In art, a medium is also in the middle of the mental image and the image produced, as a bridge linking two worlds.
Changing medium brings me to different routes, different bridges to get across.
Medium est un mot intéressant. Je l’utilise pour les techniques et matériels: aquarelle, crayon, photoshop… Quand j’en regarde les sens, “au milieu” me vient à l’esprit. Un medium est une personne au milieu des vivants et des morts, medium est au milieu de petit et grand. En art, le medium est entre l’image mental et l’image produite, comme un pont réunissant deux mondes.
En changeant de medium, je change de route, de pont pour traverser.
