Plein les yeux!

a nice journeyI have been away for a while, visiting family in France and exploring the coast from Barcelona to Saint Raphael. Yes lucky me!

Barcelona is a fascinating city, vibrant, alive, fun.  It is very pleasant to go out for dinner around 9 pm and be the first customers. I loved park Guell and the Sagrada Familia, two must seen of Gaudi‘s work. I have seen a lot of photos but like for a painting, seeing the original has no comparison.

Beautiful Roman architecture in Arles and an interesting museum with a facebook page, Marseille was “magnifique “. The new MuCEM  is breathtaking, with its lace facade in front of the Mediterranean.

And, and, and,… so many things to see, to remember. It is good to get out.

  1. aloha Benedicte. way fun. way fun to see where other painters have painted—particularly some of the great painters of our (recent) time. the light. the atmosphere. the subjects chosen. the wow of this all is invaluable to a fuller appreciation of the painting process (imo). you’ve made excellent use of your time in these places. way cool. aloha.
