Childhood was the October theme for il studio . French and Belgian comic book characters. From left to right: Babar, Obelix, Asterix, Gaston’s laughing seagull, Tintin, Capitaine Hadock, Gaston (sleeping), Lucky Luke (with no cigarette as per the law asked), Jolly Jumper (the horse), le petit Nicolas, Rantanplan , Gaston’s cat, Bill (the dog), Boule (the little boy) and Milou (Snowy). I still read them with pleasure.
Yep! I could recognize most of them. I really like Babar 🙂 I miss him a lot!!
Very good memories for me; I even indulge in quite a good number of these comics in spite of my age. Excellent realistic drawings!
Babar I remember. He is still around in the USA. Fun sketch. Thanks for sharing it.
Nice page, I know Babar and Tintin. Not up on comic books, I guess.
You’re never to old to read comics/cartoons. This is fantastic. I know and love Babar, Obelix, Asterix, Tintin, Captain Haddock and Snowy.
Thank you. I see that Babar and Tintin are international stars, so so for the others…
and as Gabrielle says:
you’re never too old to read comics/bandes dessinées.
A pleasure to meet you. I am tempted now to break out my old Walt Kelly – Pogo books.
Hi Brad, thank you. No Batman, Spiderman, Ironman….?
What a lovely group picture! Reminds me of the group picture in Le Petit Nicolas! What a bit of mischief that was! However, all these comic book figures look very well behaved here. Tres joyeux.
I had to look for mischief (=espieglerie)! nice word in both languages…thanks Aletha.
